When you're picking the right wedding videographer for you, style is important.

 

Some people want slow and cinematic, some people want instagram ready quick cuts that could generate thousands of views.

 

We don't do this for social media, We do this for our couples. We don't follow trends and we don't do anything with the idea of 'what will get the most views'. Wedding videography is personal.

 

We do this to tell your story.

 

We've been doing this for a while, since 2011, long before instagram and tiktok became a thing and we studied filmmaking and storytelling at University to learn how to make proper films.

 

That's what excites us and what our couples appreciate. We make it about them.

 

Some of the things that make up our style are as follows.

 

1. No set time limit on your video. We say our highlight videos run around 4-7 minutes because naturally providing a service we need to set an expectation to our couples but the running time is very much dictated by the run down of your day and how much 'story' is revealed on your day. Some weddings are a bit more reserved with our more private couples and we use primarily beautiful shots to tell your story. Some couples are a bit more open on their day and there will be various soundbites from vows, speeches, well wishes etc that help to tell your story.

    

2. We don't set up artificial lights. Artificial lights have their place, we use them in our commercial work and certainly can be requested but at a wedding, we find them a bit invasive. Our cameras are excellent and can see in the dark better than the human eye so we never feel the need to bring lights.

    

3. We don't do trends. A couple can absolutely request something they like for their video, but we don't actively put them in your video to match a trend. Trends are temporary, your story should last forever. How cheesey does that sound ? But it's true.

    

4. Royalty free music with no lyrics. We all have a favourite song we love the lyrics too because it transports us to a great place in our head, but in your wedding video that is a distraction from your story. We don't use songs with lyrics and we don't use music that will get your video removed from your social accounts. We know a lot of couples like to share their video with friends online and if it's got 'real music' in it, it'll get flagged and taken down.

    

5. We're true gentlemen. This is more about your day than the film. But we pride ourselves on our approach. We're genuinely good people that enjoy meeting others and helping were we can. We've been known on occasion to help setting up a table, bringing a drink over for a guest or walking an elderly family member across the grass for a group photo, yes her heels were far too high but she looked lovely.

    

6. Open pricing. The price is the price. It's on the website with no hidden costs. We know our cost of doing business and we care about doing a fantastic job. If we see an opportunity to improve your experience in any way or you want a little change on your final video (like you've fell out with the maid of honour) we don't add costs to everything. Your price is final upon booking. We know everyone has a budget in mind and we like to alleviate any stress in that regard.
